FAQ

  • What makes White Mountain Peak Performance different from other massage clinics?

At White Mountain Peak Performance, sessions go beyond traditional massage. CJ Best combines advanced manual therapy techniques with performance-based assessments to identify and treat the root cause of pain and dysfunction—not just the symptoms. With a background in coaching and experience working with elite and everyday athletes, CJ takes a results-driven, personalized approach to each client’s care.

  • What conditions or issues do you treat?

We help with a wide range of issues, including but not limited to:

Neck and shoulder pain, Lower back discomfort, Sciatica symptoms, Hip and knee pain, Sports injuries and recovery, Tension headaches, Grip weakness and forearm pain, Postural imbalances, and more…

If you’re not sure whether we can help, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to talk through your specific situation.

  • What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable, flexible clothing that allows for movement—think athletic wear or gym clothes. Since sessions may include movement assessments and corrective exercises in addition to manual therapy, you’ll want to be able to move freely.

  • Do I need to be an athlete to benefit from treatment?

Not at all. While many clients are active individuals, athletes, or fitness enthusiasts, our treatments are just as effective for those dealing with work-related aches, postural issues, or chronic discomfort. Whether you sit at a desk all day, manage physical labor, or just want to feel better in your body, you’re in the right place.

  • Do you take insurance?

We are a self-pay clinic and do not accept insurance. However, we can provide documentation upon request if you have an HSA/FSA or out-of-network benefits that may reimburse therapeutic bodywork.

  • What should I expect during my first session?

Your first visit will include a thorough intake and movement assessment (if necessary) to understand your pain patterns, lifestyle, and goals. From there, CJ will use a combination of manual therapy, neuromuscular techniques, and corrective movement strategies. You'll leave not only feeling relief but with a better understanding of how your body functions and what you can do to support long-term improvement.
